TIME COMMITMENT
Playing All-Stars requires a time commitment beyond what players have seen during the regular season. The season typically starts in early June and runs through mid-July, with several practices a week and possible weekend scrimmages or tournaments. Players must attend the vast majority of practices and all tournament games unless excused for compelling reasons. Conflicts with other sports/select teams or activities are not considered excused absences.
ELIGIBILITY
All-Star teams are selected based on skill, sportsmanship, and readiness for a higher level of play. Players must have demonstrated good sportsmanship during the regular season to make a team, as they will be representing Ballard and our community and the D8 tournament.
Players must also meet the following criteria:
8-9-10 Team: League ages 8–10 (League Age is the player’s age on August 31, 2025) and must have played in at least 8 regular season games.
9-10-11 Team: League ages 9–11 (League Age is the player’s age on August 31, 2025) and must have played in at least 8 regular season games.
Majors Team: League ages 10–12 (League Age is the player’s age on August 31, 2025) and must have played in at least 8 regular season games.
Each roster will include 12–14 players, using a continuous batting order. See the league age calculator.
