We're almost to our goal!

We need both junior umpires (12-18 years old) and adult umpires.

Junior umpires

While adult umpires are volunteers, we do pay junior umpires ages 12-18 between $25-$38 a game OR service hours. We try to pair our junior umpires with adults, and often have parent/teen combos working games.

Games are from March-June a few evenings a week and on Saturdays - pick your own schedule. Want to ump? See how to sign up on our website.

Adult umpires

Sign up on our website as a volunteer. You can pick any division for registration, it doesn’t mean you will only ump those games. You will need a background check.

Training opportunities are coming up, thanks to Little League District 8. You need to attend at least one of these in order to umpire. You can also attend one of the Ballard trainings in March instead.

In-Person Field Mechanics Clinics:

* Saturday March 2: D8 Umpire Field Mechanics 9am-1pm, Shorewood High School, Shoreline
* Sunday March 3: D8 Umpire Field Mechanics 1pm-5pm, Northshore Athletic Fields, Woodinville

Ballard Little League will also offer training in March, dates to be announced soon.
