Register your player for the '24 season

Your all-volunteer Ballard Little League Board has been working hard on making the 2024 season a great experience for our baseball and softball players and families. We are starting registration/sign up early this year to have more time to plan teams and schedule fields. Our AAA teams and older will start practicing in February, with younger teams starting in March.  We will also offer indoor winter training, starting in January. So sign up now!

We are hoping to welcome even more players to our Ballard ballfields this spring, please pass this note along to friends who may be new to baseball or softball. Also, remember all teams are coached by volunteers. If you are able, please consider signing up to coach or umpire when registering your player, we appreciate it!

Ballard Little League is a community-based baseball and softball program that has been active in our neighborhood for 70 years. We take great pride in teaching and modeling good baseball and softball skills to young players of all levels. A big part of our ongoing success is how much our Ballard players enjoy playing with friends, classmates and neighbors - as well as making new friends from other schools.

What level should I choose for my player?

We offer baseball and softball to players ages 5-16 at all skill levels. You know your player best, so if they fall within a division range, use your best judgment on what level they should play at. Please make note of your player’s Little League age when signing up, due to the fact  that “league age” is often different from their age today. Also, please make sure you live in the boundary for Ballard Little League by checking here (each region has its own league).

Younger divisions will be made up by school, grade and friend/coach requests. For older teams (AA and up), we hold assessments for skill level to make sure teams are fairly balanced, which makes games more fun for everyone.

What does Little League cost?

Thanks to local sponsors, we keep our costs low and are not raising rates this year. This season’s costs range from $130-$285, which helps cover the costs of field rentals and equipment, etc. Younger players have fewer games and pay less, older teams have a lot of field time which costs more. BLL never turns away any player who is unable to pay fees. The Ballard Rotary Club has a scholarship program for families who need assistance with registration fees and equipment needs.  To access the scholarship fund, please note it in your registration.

For those who register early, look for exciting player development opportunities for levels AA and older! We are working on indoor winter clinic opportunities for both baseball and softball.

Please review our website to help answer any questions. We look forward to seeing your players on the field for another fun spring season of Ballard Little League!

Thank you for joining us for the 70th season of Ballard Little League!
