The Syttende Mai parade in Ballard on May 17 is a long and fun tradition in our neighborhood. Ballard Little League players are invited to be a part of the festivities by representing our league at the parade!

Players should wear their jerseys, hats and bring their gloves and plan to line up at 5:30 p.m. on Field 1 of the Ballard Community Center. We will walk the parade route together. Parents of younger players should plan on accompanying their player on the route, or coordinate among your team to have chaperones.

The parade officially begins at the corner of NW 62nd and 24th Avenue NW. The route follows south to Market Street and eastward to Bergen Place park, then turns right onto 22nd and continues south down Ballard Avenue and ends at Lone Street. We will not walk as a group back to BCC, unless you organize that among your team.

We know some of you already have games scheduled for May 17, but hope to see many of you out celebrating Ballard Little League and our 69th year of offering baseball and softball to Ballard youth!
