Welcome to the 2023 spring season!

Dear Ballard Little League families,

Welcome to the 2023 season of Ballard Little League! We are so excited to welcome your tee-ball, baseball and softball players to the field this year. You should have received – or will soon – a welcome letter from your coach, as well as updates about practices and games this spring.

Ballard Little League is a community-based baseball and softball program that has been active in our neighborhood for 69 years. We take great pride in teaching and modeling good baseball and life skills to young players.

A few key dates and notes from our organization: :

Dick’s Sporting Goods Shopping weekend is this weekend - March 17-20. All Ballard Little League families receive a 20 percent off coupon for shopping at the Northgate location. You can support our sponsor while also making sure your player has all the gear they need. Download your coupon here.
Picture Day will be held on Sunday, April 23 at Ballard Community Center. We will take individual photos and team photos (which will go to our sponsors). Coaches will firm up the exact time for each team.

Mariners Days! Thank you to the Seattle Mariners for hosting our players at select games.

Ballard Little League Day is Sunday, May 7 at 1:10 p.m. You can buy $15 or $25 tickets here. Our Little Leaguers can wear their shirts and participate in a pre-game parade on the field at T-Mobile park! This is for all tee-ball, baseball and softball players

  • In addition there is a Ballard Little League Youth Softball and Fastpich Mariners Night on May 6, the 6:40 p.m. game. Click here to buy $17 tickets and don’t forget to wear your softball jersey!

We still need volunteers! Ballard Little League is an all-volunteer, community-based baseball and softball program. It takes volunteer board members, coaches and umpires to make our organization run smoothly. Please contact if you are interested in helping this spring including:

    • We have three Board positions open that we need to fill: Registrar, Special Event Coordinator and Equipment Manager. No experience needed, we can train you for these volunteer roles.

    • We need umpires! Both adults and junior umpires. We will train you for this work too, and you can work as many games this spring as your schedule allows.

    • All-Stars save the date for July. We will update the 2023 All Star dates on our website here. Please know that if your 10, 11 or 12 year old might be interested in trying out for All-Stars, practices and tournaments will be held at the end of June and in July, requiring a time commitment from players and families. Most likely, play will end by July 17.

Please look at our website to help answer any questions. We look forward to seeing your players on the field for another fun spring season of Ballard Little League!

Our Best,

The Ballard Little League Board
