Are you interested in umpiring for the 2023 season?

Ballard Little League is looking for interested umpires - we will train!

Ballard Little League runs on mostly volunteer support, and that includes adult umpires (and we do pay our junior umpires!)

Volunteers can set your own schedule this spring - work as many or as few games as you like! Any games that you can help out with will make a difference for our players and our program, and continue allowing us to provide baseball and softball opportunities to Ballard kids.

Our league will provide you with all the gear needed AND THE TRAINING.

Little League District 8 is running two umpire training clinics next month:

  • Saturday March 11: D8 Umpire Field Mechanics 9am-1pm, Shorewood High School, Shoreline

  • Sunday March 12: D8 Umpire Field Mechanics 1pm-5pm, Northshore Athletic Fields, Woodinville

In addition, there are a series of rules clinics online, sponsored by District 8:

Have a kid interested in umpiring? Let them know that Junior Umpires (18 years old and younger ) can get paid for work as an umpire or get the volunteer hours needed for school. We are looking for all genders to participate in umping for both baseball and softball. Please forward to anyone who might be interested.

Please email umpirescheduler@ballardlittleleague.com or chiefumpire@ballardlittleleague.com with any questions.

We look forward to seeing you on the field!
