Clarifying Mask Rules for BLL

Hi BLL Families –
As of today, masks are "optional only" at all ballfields being used by Ballard Little League.

For over two years, BLL has worked to make masking and COVID policy decisions focused on the safety of our players, spectators and volunteers. We have reviewed SPS requirements, the State of WA and public health agencies. And the outcome has generally been to follow along with what SPS and Seattle Parks does.

With today’s implementation of the Seattle Public Schools’ (SPS) new policy that masks are optional (and also at Seattle Parks facilities), masks during BLL events is optional for all levels of play including tee ball. If anyone in our league wants to continue wearing a mask, you are welcome and encouraged to do so. Our league is still encouraging distancing when possible and use of personal equipment to limit sharing equipment.

Should the masking guidance from Seattle Parks or Seattle Public Schools change during the season, we will update these rules accordingly.

Thanks for adhering to Seattle's Covid-related public health rules.
