Our annual Hit-A-Thon and Picture Day are coming up on Sunday May 3rd. Here is what you need to know:
What: Hit-A-Thon and Picture Day
When: Sunday, May 3
Where: Ballard Community Center-- Fields 1 and 2
Time: Arrive 15 minutes before your team's time slot (see list below). Players will participate in Hit-A-Thon after photos are taken
Players should wear BLL Uniform (Jersey, Baseball/Softball Pants, BLL Hat and Cleats)
Players should bring their Bat and Glove
BLL Hit-A-Thon
The Hit-A-Thon is Ballard Little League’s only fundraiser, helping cover costs like scholarships, field rentals, equipment, uniforms, tournaments, safety programs, and more. How the Hit-A-Thon works:
· Players collect donations leading up to the event
· Each player hits 3 balls off of a tee on event day
· The longest hit is recorded
Prizes will be awarded at our end of year picnic for:
· Division winners for distance
· Top 3 individual Fundraisers
· Top 2 fundraising teams will receive a pizza party
Volunteers Needed! We need volunteers throughout the day to help make this event run smoothly. Parents are especially needed to shag balls and help record distances during your team's hitting time. Even signing up for a short shift makes a big difference. Teenage volunteers are also welcome, and we can provide service hours.
