Season reminders and updates

As the season gets underway, we want to remind everyone of the pledge our players make—to respect the game, their teammates, opponents, coaches, and umpires. Please help reinforce these values by being respectful spectators. Many of our umpires are part of our Junior Umpire Program and are learning the game from a new perspective.

We also ask for your help in keeping our fields clean and safe. No seeds are allowed on turf fields, and we appreciate your help in picking up garbage after practices and games. A reminder that dogs are not allowed on any Seattle ballfields.

Thank you for supporting your player and for all the energy you bring to the stands. A huge thanks goes out to our coaches, umpires, and team parents—your time and dedication make this league possible.

Lastly, an update on Ballard Community Center fields: Since the city’s improvements at BCC are delayed, we are rescheduling practices and games originally set there for April. It’s unlikely we’ll have full access to BCC fields until the end of May. We are working to secure alternate field space (huge thanks to Ballard Boys and Girls Club) and, as a result, plan to extend the season through Saturday, June 14. Please save the date for our end-of-season picnic on Saturday, June 14.

We have a lot of fun in store, with more emails to come. Here’s to a great season ahead!
